About Us

Sit down at Elks Lodge 541 and the first thing you notice is that people actually talk to each other. Located at 601 Riverview Dr with views toward the St. Joseph River, this isn't a place you pass through. Members and guests have been coming back for decades because the atmosphere earns it.

The kitchen is a genuine draw. One reviewer called the Alfredo sauce here the best of their life, and that kind of praise doesn't come from a frozen bag. The chef takes real pride in what lands on your plate, whether you're celebrating a birthday, wrapping up a day of fishing on Lake Michigan, or just stopping in for a weeknight meal with the family.

Lodge #541 serves the Saint Joseph and Benton Harbor area as part of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, one of the oldest fraternal organizations in the United States. The people here will make you feel like you belong from the first handshake. A 4.5-star rating across 42 reviews says the same thing in numbers.

What We Offer

The Lodge hosts private events including birthday parties, family celebrations, and milestone gatherings in a comfortable, well-staffed setting. Guests consistently praise both the food quality and the attentiveness of the service staff, making it a reliable choice when the occasion matters.

Beyond events, members enjoy regular dining, social evenings, and the kind of fraternal programming that the Elks have delivered to American communities since 1868. Youth scholarships, veterans support, and local charitable giving are core to what Lodge 541 does year-round.

Membership opens the door to all of it, including reciprocal access to Elks lodges nationwide, a tight-knit local network, and a calendar of events that gives you a reason to show up every month. Interested in joining? Visit the national lodge directory at elks.org or stop by in person.

"This fraternal organization is one to be proud to be a part of. The Saint Joe Benton Harbor Lodge #541 is in a great location, and is a collective group of great people. Admission to the Lodge is member only with a few exceptions for special events. Ask around and find out what friend of yours is a member and ask them to bring you in, or buzz at the door and ask someone to sponsor you in so that you can learn about the organization."

A Proud Heritage

The Elks gave America
Flag Day.

Long before it was a national observance, the Order set aside June 14th to honor the flag. Patriotism has always been one of our cardinal principles, and every lodge meeting still closes the same way it has for over a century.
